Sorry, but I had to comment. "You better check yourself before you wreck yourself". Dude you are crazy, hehe you are a computer junkie. You should buy it, then notice it didn't give you much improvement. Then sell me your new 690 for like, let's say $300. :D :eek: :rolleyes: So yes do it, then PM me.... BTW are you liking your Nvidia card better than your AMD's?
 
I think you'll be fine with just one crazy fast dual-gpu card. :) Just donate $1000 to the hungry or something. :D

lol you can buy my second 6990 with arctic cooling twin turbo 6990 for just 425$! :D

6990 is faster than a 7970 but i believe those are only 450 or so for a GHz which might beat the 6990, but those aftermarket coolers aint cheap, not a bad card.
 
Do you need to buy one? Answer one question. What are you not maxing with 1 690? or 2 6990s? are you basically just looking to spend all the money you can? if so I would recommend 4 Quadro 6000 6GB cards. That sould do the same exact thing and would cost a bit more. You probably are better off spending your $1000 on other parts of your computer.
