Should i buy this video card?

I'm really so dummy about these stuff and i don't know so much about video card.
I wanted to buy a video card with low price and i asked one of my friends to help me and he gave me a link to this video card it called (i want 256MB video card only)
"ASUS EN8400GS/HTP/256M GeForce 8400GS 256MB 64-bit GDDR2" short "EN8400GS"
so is this video card good or not?
and should i forget it and buy one of nvidia card from there website ?
If they i have to choice between "GeForce FX 5900 Ultra" and "ASUS EN8400GS", what should i pick?

Here's a good side by side comparison of the cards. The FX5900 is a very old card, and I'd forget about it. As for the 8400, it's a very cheap, low-end card. You'd probably be better off purchasing some previous generation card rather than such a low-end current generation card. But if I HAD to pick between these, I'd go with the 8400...

dont even think of gaming with those cards, unfortunetely... even the 8600's were disappointingly slow, then the 8500's were ok for a home entertainment center or maybe an office computer, the 8400's were great for loading the bios...

raise the budget or keep what ya got for a while longer it is just not worth it.

Id go for the GeForce FX 5900 Ultra. It seams to have better reviews.

Go for 8800GS. But you need to do with MIR.

If you really can't pay that much, Go for a 8600GT GDDR3/ 2600XT

Go for the 8800GS. If you don't have the money right now, save a little more. It'll be worth it.
