Should I Change from XP Core 2 Laptop to New Laptop with Windows 7?

I'm sure similar questions have been posted here before for which I apologize. I currently have a decent Core 2 Tecra 8 Laptop which I purchased about 2 years ago because of its XP Operating system. I just use the Laptop for regular things: I surf, download, write a blog, etc. and don't game or do any graphics stuff. This laptop has performed consistently and good- I'd give it a solid "B" overall. Would I be better off buying a new laptop with Windows 7 assuming it had the same basic features, 4GM Ram, Core 2, 80 gbs hard drive, etc. or would I see significant or little difference in the speed of the performance particularly booting up and closing down time and internet loading speed (I'm on broadband)? Thanks for your advice.

I would go for upgrading your current computer to windows 7.

That's what I did and Windows 7 runs smoothly on Intel Centrino Mobile with 2 gigs of ram.

Hope it helps

I heard if you upgrade from XP to Windows 7 It doesn't Work at 100% Efficiency
