Should I For Fun?

I had bought a new pc off of newegg..well actually i am gonna be building it and my new monitor comes today, and the rest of the pc tomorrow. So that monitor is for that pc.

but i thought would be fun is since my current card Radeon 9550 supports 2 monitors one analog and one dvi. my current monitor im using is analog..but the new one is dvi. even though the dvi monitor is for my new pc. can i install it just for one day on my current graphics card?

meaning if i install it then tomorrow i unplug it..it wont mess up any of my current settings will it? would i have to uninstall it?
 
It wouldn't mess up your current settings don't worry

Your PC would just switch back to the way it was as it cant detect a secondary monitor, i don't even think you have to install it, i just plugged my second one in and it worked perfectly :D

Give it a go, its such a nice thing to have 2 monitors
 
It's really cool so try it! Easy to do too. My friend just plugged in his other monitor and it showed up right away.. He put a cool halo 2 wallpaper on one side and another halo 2 wallpaper on the other and moved some of his stuff over there. You just scroll over far enough and the mouse jumps to the other screen
 
wow..sounds really cool...would it be useful enough to actually buy another $174 monitor for my new pc..since my new pc supports 2 monitors
 
yeh go for it if you have the money. Two monitors is sooo much better, just much easier to do everything and is just cool
 
how do you do something with all those monitors? like that.. i have seen where people have 3 monitors. and the left monitor shows the left side of the character, the middle shows the front of the character, and the right monitor shows the right of the character how do they do that? how would i do that with my 2 monitors?
 
I think its all down to hardware, you can get 4-way monitor splitters but i've only ever seen that once in an issue of PC Zone, maybe hes got a big ass pc with like 12 motherboards and 24 monitors or dualscreened to 12 gfx cards
