Should I get a 480?

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a GTX 480 because of the price point it's at now

189.99 on Newegg and Amazon

Question is, is it a good buy? I know the 480 is an older card and runs super hot and loud, and draws a ton of power, but I know my PSU can handle it. Rosewill Capstone 650-m GOLD. It has 54a/648w on a single 12v rail.

I just want your guy's opinion. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

1. They are not really all that hot or loud. I run mine at 40% fan when not gaming and it is almost silent and runs at about 50*C.
2. Yes, I would get it. It is a great card for the money.

Yes, I have owned 2 of them, one made by EVGA and the other by MSI, both great cards. They can get a little loud and hot but they exhaust the hot out of the case and they can reach 110c before malfunction. I blew mine out every third week or so as they can collect a lot of dust, depending on your case.

mine does not seem to get very dusty, but the rest of the case does (i don't know why). But The EVGA card seems bulletproof almost. It will OC well and I rarely see it above 70* even in game (100% fan).

Yes jason, that would be about the same, but it is $60 more when you use code HARDOCPX829D with the 480. And it is a great card anyway. Would never suggest a HD series card though.
