I currently have Norton and my subscription expires in exactly 60 days.

Now I have just recently downloaded AVG Free onto other computers and I see it works great, but I really don't know which is better, why or why not...

I do understand that Norton uses more RAM, but it seems like it only uses like 20 MB, am I wrong?

So should I pay the annoying 40 bucks to resubscribe to Norton or should I take on good little AVG....

Any suggestions plz

Thank you

yeah Norton is a ram eater, use AVG or NOD32, but then again im getting addicted to norton 2007 even though i never use it on my PC personally i like to install it on others PC !!

I'm with AVG out of the 2. That's what I use. I've always found norton to be annoying (apart from having to pay) then found AVG and used that ever since.

Depends whether you have problems with ram or not. Norton is better, but if it uses too much system resources stick to the AVG..

i think ud better stick to avg, y pay for an antivirus software when u get something thts better than the one you're gonna pay for? avg is far better than norton on man accounts.

It isn't better on removals/virus library. This is actually why you PAY for your antivirus...

I think its pretty good, besides, in norton as far as I can remember you get popups telling you loads of things where as avg just works and tells you only when you have a virus. (unless thats not norton I'm thinking of, I can't quite remember. Havent used it for ages.

I've been using Norton for four years, never had ANY popups. It will scan, then tell you the results and then take the actions you asked him to take. No Popups at all sorry.

No doubt Norton is the best . You should opt for norton though you have to pay for it But it will ensure safety for your computer. I don't think AVG will provide same level of security as free.
