I have a Geil 2x 512MB DDR pc3200 dual channel

should i sell it and buy 2x 1gb Pc3200

or should i buy 2x 512MB pc3200? so total of 4x 512MB of ram

which is better??????

will 4x 512MB ram be slower????


(the budget is really tight , i am broke as hell but then i really wanna upgrade it)

I think it might downclock it some to have all the slots full. You might just want to read RAM 101 though, that'd probably answer some questions for you.
 
I don't think you can sell ram for much so I'd say scratch that idea. And you'll be able to find faster timings wiht 512 than 1gb but if it's budget, probably won't make a huge difference
 
For me personally, I'd just go with the 1GB, but it just depends on what you want to spend. Plus, i always buy the biggest sticks of RAM i can, its easier to upgrade later on.
