i was wondering if i should re-install windows 8. basically i had a dead RAM stick in my pc for the past few days causing me massive problems, removed it and replaced it with a new stick.
Anyway i thought it could have been something with the installation getting all the BSOD and crashes so i refreshed the pc, the problem was the faulty stick as i scanned it with memtest and gave 1000's of errors. i still had the faulty stick in when refreshing windows, i didnt know at the time it was bad and it failed about halfway through, im guessing because of the RAM.
since it failed the refresh it wont let me perform the re-fresh anymore it just comes up with "could not find the files needed, if you have a windows installation or recovery media insert it and restart the pc from the media"
my question is should i re-install windows 8 just to be sure nothings corrupted or should i leave it. its a newly build system and its now running fine.
