Hi everyone,

I was playing left 4 dead 2 last night and I realized my system couldnt make out, was running a bit slower then I thought it would

Right now I have the same specs as listed below

I want to get an 15 processor but i dont want to shell out 500 dollars right now, maybe in 6 months, Could I get a decent upgrade for lets say.... 300 dollars from my current MOBO+CPU+RAM or should I attempt the overclock

im scared to overclock because im scared my pc will explode and the house will burn down, people say I can probally get to 3 ghz with my processor

See the pickle I have is the new processors are not lga 775 so I new to get all three :(

You should definitely try overclocking! I haven't ever killed a computer part through overclocking...you won't burn the house down!

The golden rules of overclocking:
1. Don't set the voltages too high (voltage is what kills)
2. Have a backup of your computer.

If you follow those two rules, you'll avoid most, if not all, of the dangers of overclocking.

I was just overclocking an E6600 last weekend and got it up to 3.2Ghz really easily!

Hey jet I just wrote you a private message. If I move it up to 2.8-3.0 Id probally see a good performance difference right? if I move the processor up should I also overclock the ram?

Thx

Matt
