Should I upgrade my Dell XPS to Windows Vista?

I recently purchased a Dell XPS 1210 preloaded with Windows Vista. I want to install the new WD 250 GB Scorpio drive but I don't know if I should load this drive with Windows Vista or if I should put XP on this drive. Also, if I install XP on the new drive, will it work in the XPS machine? Everything I hear about WIndows Vista says to wait until next year before using it.

I currently am using a Dell Inspiron 700M with Windows XP and I am thinking about migrating everything over to the new machine, I just do not know which OS to run.
 
I dunno if the scorpio is 2.5... just remember that yuo cannot put an desktop HDD into an laptop...

XP for reliability, Vista for gaming.
