Should I upgrade to a quad core? Will I notice much difference. Also I'm planning on installing vista so will a quad make a difference? Thanks.

for what reason you want to upgrade your system....
well upgrading a system is always a welcome , but i will say upgrade only when you really need that it will definitely save some bucks for upcoming computer stuffs.

^blue, lol stop bumping, what would be the reason that you would want to upgrade your system for? Because other than video/photo editing sometimes gaming, but not always, you won't notice much a difference.

you could benefit a lot by overclocking that e6750. you would probably get it to about 3.4-3.6ghz with a nice cooler.

ahh ok...anyone have a guide to overclocking? Not sure how too but here are my specs...what should I do first?

Get the quad....its one hell of a jump i done,going from a Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 2.8 to Q6600 @ 3.3.

The quad just flys through anything,Not only that more games are been optimised to run on quads better than they do on Dual cores.

ah okay...Yup if your willing to go i7 then without a doubt thats probably the best way to go.

Heard the new Phenoms are wicked too though. :)

Yup, the new phenom II's are nearly as good as the core 2 quads and overclock really well also. But i7 kicks anything out there at the moment outta the way(but around twice as much as a phenom II since you need a $300 cpu, mobo, ddr3 memory, phenom II would need cpu+mobo).
