i have 2 questions...first, can the setup in my sig run crysis? i'm doubting it, but i've been told it can, just curious. and secondly, the microcenter up by where i live has coolermaster i think it's 500 or 550 watt PSU's on sale for 55 bucks, with 30 mail in rebate, ending up at 25. and a package deal on frontlines:fuel of war and a 9600gt graphics card for 100 bucks...would the PSU and card be worth my time? i mean, would it really be much of a step up, or would it be almost pointless with the processor that i have? i figured it'd be a wee bit better, but when i get a motherboard/processor it'd be a step up from what i have now. just curious, thanks in advance

Yes, you computer can run crysis, but it would be played on 800 by 600, and on all low settings, for it to even be playable, and even with the low settings it would only get like 25FPS, that cpu is a MAJOR downside to you computer, and yes it would help to get the 9600GT, but it would not be worth it... Yes you could get maybe 15 more FPS, but is it really work 130$?IMO it is not.

good to know, i was being prompted to pick up cyrsis to play with a friend, good to know. so i would be better off holding onto my money a few weeks and just going out and picking up a good mobo/cup huh? would the graphics card i have and a intel dual core be able to run crysis on decent settings with 30+fps?

Yes, a C2D paired up with a 9600GT would be able to play crysis on 1280/1024 on medium, and should get about 50FPS.

My rig can play cysis, on 1650/1050 on med/low and get 38FPS

i have got a 9500gt, i'm guessing that it would run pretty close to those specs. not sure though. even if it was a little worse than that i'd be ok.

No, the 9500GT, is quite a bit slower than the 9600GT, the 9500GT is basically an 8600GT, and the 9600GT, is compared to the 8800GT.

It should be quite a difference.
