well 7800GTX has been released and the 6800GT's price is going to drop. I am planning to upgrade from 6600GT. do you guys think it will drop below the $400 CAD (320USD) tag within the next 2 months?

Its hard to say but I'm betting it will drop. You might as well wait a bit because the price of computer parts falls very quickly.

Why upgrade from a 6600GT? That would be a card I would love to have. I personally don't see it lacking in anything so far.
btw, if you do end up getting a new card, I'd love for you to give me that 6600GT
