Just recently I received my new PC which had been running fine for a few days, but then it crashed due to what I believe was an overheating issue (Fans going on full blast as it crashed and rebooted) while I was playing League of Legends on max settings. Playing League on my other rig on max settings had never triggered this kind of issue on that one, and it's specs are nowhere near the specs of my new one. It would lag at graphically intense moments, of course, but never would it do anything like this.
Old PC specs:
Not entirely sure of the motherboard; it was an HP Pavilion Magnesium Gray Edition p6654y PC.
AMD Athlon II 630 Quad Core CPU
4GB DDR3
750GB HDD
GeForce GTX 560Ti
600W Power Supply
and to my knowledge, no extensive cooling system, really, whatsoever.
New PC Specs:
ASRock Z77E-ITX Motherboard
Intel i7 3700k CPU (3.5GHz)
16GB DDR3 (Corsair)
1TB HDD
64GB SSD
GeForce GTX 780
500W Gold Power Supply
Corsair Hydro H55 Liquid CPU cooling system.
Since the incident, I have reconfigured Windows to prioritize optimal performance, and it hasn't done it since.
But in case it does, I wanted to know if my cooling system is subpar? Or could this be another issue?
