anyway, i would go with DDR2-800 RAM, an E6600, and an eVga 680i, try to get the FSB to 400 for a 1:1 ratio and you will have some sweet performance

are you gonna build a new computer? because your name says you need one

YOU DON'T NEED A 1:1 RATIO!

The 1:1 ratio was only for skt754, 939, and 940 systems that have the memory controller on the CPU, and where the FSB and the RAM speed had to be the same, or something like that. Besides, the OC101 guide is a year and a half old, not something to go by.
 
and is that the best performance i can get out the processor, or would going to ddr2 1200 (sli) memory be even faster, and even if it is, would it make a big enough difference in gaming to be worth the price?
