Should ram work if it fits in the slot??(asumming it worked) what factors are there of replacing ram,my origional ram had bad sectors(so it had random crashes) so i replaced it but now it wont turn on but it will if i replace it with my old ram(the one wif bad sector) old ram was 2 512 sticks duel channel now im using 1 256mb ram

on a

MOBO - a8n32sli deluxe

origional ram ddr 400 pc 3200 2x512mb duel channel

new ram ddr400 pc 3200 256mb
