hello cf,

just built a new computer becuase i returned my sandy bridge and ended up with an older i7. the only part that hasnt come in yet is the ram.

yesterday when i finished building i quickly plugged in my new mouse and keyboard and fired it up (forgetting about the ram). the screen didnt recognize anything (as in no output coming from gpu) and the keyboard and mouse didnt turn on. (the mobo lights were on and so were the case fans ect.) so should this be happening? and by that i mean all the usb ports failing and the screen not turning on becuase of no ram or do i have a bigger problem here?

thanks,

nick

It won't boot up if there is no memory installed. If you had a system speaker plugged into the motherboard you should hear a series of beeps letting you know that there is no memory installed.
