beers Moderator Staff member Apr 26, 2019 #3 The default Windows 10 action was changed recently for quick removal: https://www.cnet.com/news/yank-out-that-usb-drive-in-windows-10-without-ejecting-first/ I'd still do it since you are telling the OS to finish any open writes prior to unmounting.
