Should you shut down your laptop or is it okay to leave it up and running all day. Currently we turn it on and off several times a day. Any opinion on this? The desktop is left on 24/7 and that never has any issues.
well it all depends on the pc itsself some can cool themsleves so shutting off is never a problem, i personally liek to turn of my pc each and everynight, jsut to give it a break (or at least put it to sleep)
I still think it's best to let your laptop rest as much as possible. My laptop has never "overheated" but it can get pretty darn hot at times. I'm sure it's not exactly good on it to get so hot.
Surely the same concept with desktops applies with laptops? In the sense that it's better (more healthier) to leave them running rather than shutting them down and powering them up several times?... Prop it up on four stands (one at each corner of the laptop) so that theres room under it allowing breezes and such to pass by. Also, keeping the room temp down if leaving them on for a long period of time helps .
If it doesnt overheat you dont need to turn it on and off multiple times during the day. Just turn it off when you go to bed so it can rest. Not hard to turn it back on in the morining
