This is my 8Mb package from TalkTalk, Southend > Gloucester

I have no idea sorry, it's my parents Internet (well mine too ) and I haven't really taken much notice as to what it is, although I imagine it will be something like 10MB so your probably correct.

And yes there is a problem with my internet i am supposed to be on 8000/512 kbps but for some reason my router modem settings are reporting half that showing the same as the speed test result.

Migrating to a 24Mb line in a few days :]

We just had telstra replace all the copper from here to the exchange:

They are coming back as there's still static and noise on the line, which would be the cables under the house.

I can't complain, but I never get that. I get maybe 1.2 MB/s in reality.

A month or 2 ago we finally got our internet fixed (after years of problems) and We are getting double the internet speed now since we upgraded a few months ago.

I get 2.5Mb/s thats right! stay away from ATT!

Not bad, running off of a wireless adapter to my PC... wonder what it would be with it plugged directly into the modem or router...

probably not much faster. Most wireless cards are rated up to 56Mb/s.

Just about to switch to 105 I think. If we get cable tv internet price is the same.
