Just built up new my new computer, all seems ok, appart from when I shut it down, I just restarts again. I've gone into My computer - Properties and then turned off automatic restart, this hasn't changed anything. A bit stuck for what to do now! Any ideas?

Did you select "shutdown when power button is pressed" in the power options found in the control panel? If that is not set to that you will see reboots everytime until set to power off. Check your settings there.

Gone into advanced options on the "power options" selected Pc to shut down each time the botton is pressed, been that way since windows was first put on, still the same problem though!

It sounds like something needed for Windows didn't copy fully to the drive then. Either that or something you installed after is not allowing Windows to power down properly. If you are still waiting to install more softwares wait for now until this is corrected. Look over your installation disk to see if there are any small scratches or smudges that could have been there when Windows was first put on. Look over the softwares installed after to see if one of those could have seen a bad install. Without a total reinstallation of Windows you could try a repair install if needed. But let's make a check list first.
