Shutting off

Guys help. My computer is starting to shut itself off and I don't know why. The CPU is not too hot seeing that the temps are in the high 40s and low 50s most of the time.

try starting your computer with only on of the rams , and see what happens .

this could be the origin of the problem because it happened to me before .

any info on when it shuts itself off? Is it when it is left alone, when you are gaming? Does it reboot? Does it double/tripple boot? System specs? Are you overclocking?

The RAM is fine (I hope). I found out that in the BIOS there is a feature to monitor cpu temps. The target temp was at 50 degrees celsius so I just pushed it to 54 degrees. Im guessing if it gets too much pass the target temp, the computer will just shut off. I was just finished gaming and browsing internet when it started happening. I will continue to watch it and see if what I did solves the problem. BTW I have an asrock motherboard and a core 2 duo E7400.
