is that what they're called? i have no idea...i was wondering if those are just like, PCs that you can take with you really easily, or what. do they not hold certain components a desktop would? im kind of interested in what they are, because ive seen them before in a lot of places, but never really knew what they were or what they were capable of.

They aer basically a normal pc case but a lot LOT smaller and of course usually square, some of the really small ones have a forma factor called MINI ITX, these mobos usually have an integrated processor which is moulded to the board, smaller RAM and low profile add-in cards are used to conserve space, MINI ITX boards and their processors use very little power so there are special small power supplies that fit in there.

Not really any more protable than a normal PC, it still has a delicate hard drive etc... the onyl thing is that it is emmensely smaller than a desktop pc.

there can be problems with cooling if you cram to much stuff in a shuttle. Also the spaces for drives are limited. if you want go to lans a lot or travel, they fit into nice small bags :)
