SICK and tired of hard drives with the USB port built in to the SATA dock!

Today I opened up a one of those stupid passport things, which are arguably the Worst Hard Drives Ever EVER!
only to find out that the USB port is built into the freakin hard drive pcb where the SATA port would normally be! :mad:

Assholes!

I highly doubt that. They're usually just standard drives in an enclosure.

Usually it's actually just some kind of adapter that you can pull off to reveal a SATA port underneath.

That's WD for ya... Notice how low their ratings have been with their new drives? :p Stick with the custom made ones in decent cases. You know what hardware is inside and honestly they probably carry a better warranty if something were to go wrong :p

BTW, I'm quite sure WD is the only brand that does this.
