after about a half an hour of searching, i give up.

could someone set me up a motherboard search for motherboards compatable with ddr3 RAM and intel quad cores?

Dunno.. I have to check if I even got it.. I ordered an motherboard combo

Some cheap mobo + Celeron D... It's somewhere... The processors been siting there for... 1-2 years... I think its still usable. Tested it sometime before I moved, still worked :D I think the pins are bent now :(
 
I ordered a barebone kit from tigerdirect... was shipped in two parts (the case, then the mobo and cpu) I got an email saying my order was canceled, but the next day the case shows up on my doorstep and the total charge for the barebone kit is sitting on my credit card... i call them and deal with their shitay customer service and i get the charge removed and they say they are going to bill me 40 bucks for the case or whatever... they never did.

moral of the story... free case but never dealing with tigerdirect again... newegg all the way
