Sidebar Properties from another user?

I left my laptop open by mistake. One of my cats decided that is made a nice bed. She ended up opening LOTS of windows. I managed to get most of it under control, however I believe that she opened a ton of vista sidebar gadgets and now that user is extremely slow to boot up and it makes the processor run at 100% all the time.

Is there a way to access the Windows Sidebar Properties of one user from another user account?

Are you still able to navigate the desktop? Have you tried the task manager to kill the processes?

I thought the sidebar was one process...???

I'm going to go try it again and see if I can get anywhere.

Well, I sort of managed to get in there. I got the Sidebar Properties window to open and that's what the problem is. There's at least 100+ copies of the calendar gadget running. However, by the time I get into that window and try to stop them, the comp has practically frozen by then.

And if I end the sidebar process from task manager, I can no longer see which gadgets are running from the Sidebar Properties window and therefor can't remove them.


Is there a way to remove gadgets that will run when the sidebar starts up while it is not running?
