Break thorough for my computer! Probably i'm just behind time or something, but has anyone tested/tried this before?

Hard drive is a loudest component in your computer and i've figured out how could i silence it. Here a small tip which helped me a lot. Hang a disc on a rope!!

For more see picture and give your opinion.

I have visions of watching my hdd with all my precious music on it fall in slow motion and hit the bottom of my case!

You can get rubber things which make hdds fit in cd drive size bays which silence it.

It works better if you use high quality rubber bands. And it works even better if you buy a hard drive enclosure like i did :).

Well mine is staying this way :)

All the vibrations from the disc were sounding really awful and this takes care of that problem.

I think you should have used the double-strand crisscross box tie knot to keep it from sliding out the end if you move the case.

If you're gonna do it, you might as well do it right.:)

Ok, Ok, all joking aside...

dude if that hdd falls while spinning, you might break something. Its better to just buy a new hdd (quiet), or the 'true' stuff used to quiet a hdd. Not worth the risk.

THE ONLY RESON IDE DO THIS IS IF I USED UP ALL 4 OF ME HDD SPOTS, RAN OUT OF USBS FOR EXTERNALS, AND USED MY DRISK DRIVE SPACES UP!, this is plain stupid, i wouldent recomending you do this...

resons:
Moving your case would make it fall... BAD

The disks in it spin... causeing it to move around... making it FALL

you might bump your case my accadent

and last but DEFINATLY not least... they dont give you the mounting screws for nothin, they want that sucker practicaly welded to the case... so it wont FALL
