SimCity 4 won't load

SimCity 4 installed successfully. However, it will not run. When I click on the icon in my start menu, with either CD it says please insert play disk and restart. ?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!? What should I do?

It was copied from both disks onto CDs.

So did you legally purchase it or acquire it somehow?

Sounds to me it's one of those games where the [original/genuine] CD needs to be in the drive in order for it to run - and it also sounds like he installed it from copied discs. It won't run unless you put the genuine CD in the drive.

I did have the original game, but both of the CD's were broken.

If it's a ripped copy it won't work correctly. That's your problem. Only way to get it fixed is buy a new version. You can frequently find it on Steam on sale for 5 bucks with the expansion.

Well there's nothing you can really do about it that we can help you with.

You options are buy the game, or buy a second hand... You only need the discs after all as you have the keys and what not, right .

There is your answer, we cannot help you with games that you got from less than legitimate sources, even if you already own the game.
