Simple Boot disk

I use GParted, it's a bootable linux disc that is nothing but a partitioner. Works with Windows and Linux (and Mac too I think).

I was hoping to find something I could put on a disk or USB Flash memory to boot from. Like when you boot from a windows CD. The windows XP CDs can only format NTFS to then install windows. I want something similar, except for the windows part.

I just want to make a boot disk that will format/reformat a hard drive.

Hirens boot loader. http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd

from the command prompt you should be able to sys. a:drive

the system files should be able to copy also easily to cd or dvd.

there are others. i think a few will even boot from usb dos.
Need drivers for dos usb then query usb drivers , dos , boot , panasonic.

it dont get no better.

ntfs dos pro will allow a read, delete from dos boot. not free.
thats all i got. i made a master several years ago for cd.
still works when the chips are down.

sys will just create the boot process as bootable.
You still have to copy the files like fdisk format to make it useful.
