i strongly suggest the 3500+, the pentium 4 3GHz isnt all that.... "updated" as in, its not going to have a great new core, or new instruction sets

get the 3500+. its good..... now they say "better for gaming" well yea... but unless youre doing alot of video encoding and editing then hyperthreading doesnt do you much use.

agreed, an athlon 64 FX processor is named that way because its faster than any pentium 4 on the market (not including pentium d and pentium m, so as not to insult "intel people" lol)
thats why they discontinued fx-51 aside from the fact it was socket 940.... the athlon 64 3400+ is about as good, depending on the edition such as clawhammer or newcastle and such...
