Simple question

has anyone ever heard of someone having a problem that they cannot run 1 stick of anytin on their computer and they need to have 2 sticks in the slots for it to work because my computer wont work wit 1x1g but it will work wit 1x1g and 1x256mb in it and obviously it runs of the 256mb.

im guessing this is an early pentium 4 system that uses RDRAM, this stuff needs to be run so that all the ram slots are full of have a "blanking plate" in place.
