Simple to use desktop computer?

I'm looking for a desktop computer for my mom. Currently she has a Dell model from 10 plus years ago. She just uses the computer for the internet to look up information, play you tube videos,or for light typing of letters. She doesn't know much about computers so an easy to use simple model would be best and she stated she doesn't want a laptop.
Could anyone suggest a good brand and model that may fit what I'm looking for?
Thank you.

Pretty much anything from Dell, HP, Acer etc etc would probably be fine. How much does she want to spend?

I will suggest Dell or Lenovo, a laptop will cost less and be efficient than a desktop, are you sure she doesn't want to go for a laptop?

Thank you for your response. The price can be flexible but she does not want a laptop. To be honest if her computer was not so slow and often not able to work she would just keep the one she has. The price can be flexible and she lives in MI.
I currently have an Asus laptop which uses windows 7 and I have been happy so far with it. Do they make good desktops?

Eh ASUS desktops are probably OK. These OEM desktops are usually all about the same really. Dell some nice desktops (Optiplex and Vostro), so I'd get one of those.

I've revived an 11 year old desktop recently by replacing windows XP with Lubuntu, for my mother that wont let it go, she uses this desktop for the same purposes you've listed.

It's GUI is quite similar to Windows XP, which give's it a very familiar feel for those who are somewhat windows dependant, whilst being noticeably quicker than XP.

However, even the most basic off the shelf desktop set-ups will easily surpass her current desktop in performance, and as for brands, Dell have never let me down.
