simple video editing software

can u please suggest a free and small video editing program that can convert to VCD format, lol plz post something, most of my threads are poor with replys, WHY?!?!

I used to do a lot of that stuff but I cant remember exactly how I went about it. I think I used a program called tgpmpc or something like that. Anyways, check out www.vcdhelp.com and look in there. That page should help.
 
Windows Movie Maker isn't bad for a free editing program, and if you want to convert to VCD, TMPG Free edition will do that for you.
 
It will convert AVI MPG or WMV files to VCD complient MPEG-1. This file can then be burnt using Nero or a similar package to make a VCD. Nero can also encode files itself, but I find that TMPG is better.
 
thx for the replys, its for my friend tho,

he just told me that hes looking for a program that can rip from AVI to VCD, attach subtitles and set the file size (so it can fit on a CD)

that isnt video editing, thats re-encoding

and what are u doing when u re-encode video, u r editing it, duh, lol

ok, i found a program TMPGEnc Plus, its great, thx ceewi1
