Single channel DDR mode? Please help

Unless I'm missing something, I answered your question exactly in my post.
You install one in the first slot in chA, and one in the first slot in chB.

*EDIT*
Yes, I did.
Basically, all you do... Is put 1 module in DIMM 1, and another in DIMM 3.
It should be in the first slot of each colored pair.

Ok can someone highlight the positioning of the memory sticks using pictures of my manual in order to run in dual channel mode?or at least tell me wich of the 2 tables refers to positioning of the ram for dual mode setting?Cause in the big table just below there's "s:single side d:double side" and i don't understand that....
I think you guys will understand my frustration...cause when i read my mobo manual carefuly! it says: "Please refer to the following table for detailed dual channel DDR".
right after that text theres a small table and all i can see is that the manual reccomends using: DIMM1&2, or 3&4 or all4.
If i'm wrong and i'm looking at the wrong table,i say ok and look at the second table....but the "S" and "D" markings are cofusing. But never mind that...i look and if i pair the green pair(dimm1&dimm3) i have two awailable combinations: "S-S- @ddr400" and "D-D-@ddr333". Now if this is the right table to look at wich of this is dual channel mode?cause if i'm led to beleive that "D" is dual channel mode than the ram would operate @333MHz not 400Mhz.

Sorry,if someone can follow me i'd be greatful cause it's doing my head in at the moment.:( And i'm not even sure if i should bother cause i realy don't know if there's going to be any noticeble increase in performance.

My PC is running in Dual channel mode now and the difference in performance is small but it is noticable.I just want to say thanks to everyone on the forum who helped me to sort things out.sorry for complicating things but i was unsure about this stuff.A big thank you again ;)
Cheers.
