Slave harddrive help Please

HI guys! I bought my girl a used computer today. It only has a 6gb harddrive. I have an old 80gb. How do I go about installing this? I know the 2 cables how they plug in. This hard drive has an operating system already on it, will it mess her computer up?

So does the 80GB HDD have a OS on it? or just the 6GB?

It will work. You might have to upgrade or change drivers depending on the differences in the hardware used on the machines the drives came out of.

They both have operating systems on them! Is there a way once I install the 80 as the slave I can format it?

Ok thank you, all that you should have to do is set the 6gb jumper to MA and the 80gb to SL. and then when you load windows from the 6gb you can just right click on the 80gb and choose format.

Sure, anytime. And I really doubt anything horrible will happen if it doesn't work the first time, it just won't boot.
