Power Requirements for the 8600s have not been released as yet I don't think, but I'd like to hope that a 600W could handle it.

well.. my current 620W psu can take 2 8800GTX's// so i dont see why a good 600W one cant take 2 of those.. but, why get a SLI setup of lower/idrange cards? its cheaper to get 1 high end card then tbh.

You've gotta make sure good covers the amperage too. one gtx requires about 24 amps on the 12v rail. so two less hungry (speculative) ultras may need tween 25 and 30.. payhaps more.

I would get one now, one later. But know that I think of it, an extra 50-75 for the psu, more for an sli board, It would be stupid to do 8600 sli. It would probaly end up cheaper to buy a gts.
