SLI, agian...

I would say that SLI x16 just is talking about what kind of port you have, which is what you have, so just get a pci-express x16 card and you'll be fine.
 
The Foxconn NF4SK8AA-8KRS runs in PCI-x8 when in SLI mode
Note that the SLI switch is physical switch between the two PCIx16 slots, and when in sli mode with 2 gpus and the bridge card I doubt the PCIx1 will be any good
 
SLI of PCI-E X16 is impossible, at least currently. both cards only can work in X8 mode(biggest bandwidth). maybe in the future nVidia can release new driver to make it possible at x16 at the same time.

SLI X16 has been around for quite some time now. It's only on higher end models, though, like the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe, M2N32-SLI Deluxe, A8R32-MVP Deluxe, etc...
