Sli/crossfire MB

Ive got a question...... my mobo has dual PCI-E 16x slots and says it supports dual video cards, but without sli or crossfire branding or anything. newegg said that i dosent support sli, but all the mobo sasy is "in dual video card setup, pci 1x slot will be disabled"
does this mean i can have dual gpus?

unfortunately my board is the 1.0 version, but that is extremely similar. i bought mine open box so i cant find it.......

I think the card has to have crossfire in it's name to be crossfire capable. FYI it's not a great card.. but it's pretty cheap so it balances out.
