ok so i bought a ram SLI kit and when i went into bios, it said that "SLI mode not detected" does that mean my ram isn't sli compatible? (note: it is a SLI ready memory kit)

to be dual channel the ram has to be put into slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4... i.e. the same colours, if you put them next to each other they wont work in dual channel... well thats what my experience of it has been...

Yeah i put them in 1 and 3 and i went into bios and it said that they weren't dual channel... And. when i have both sticks in at once, i get Bsods about the ram. but when i have only 1 stick in (doesn't matter which one) my computer runs fine. any ideas? i know both ram sticks work perfectly fine because they both work on their own.

They go in the 2 white slots. If it runs fine with one stick. Boot and go into the bios and manually set what the voltage and timming are suppost to be for the sticks. Put them both in and see if it will boot.
