I want to upgrade to a SLI system, but have a few quesions about it first. I will be using my AMD Athlon 64 3500+, and a BFG GeForce 7800. I went to SLIZone.com and checked their certified motherboards, most of the motherboards seem to have problems with RAM and a few other problems. Could this be because they changed something to create SLI, or are these just the companies usual faults? Also, this may come as a dumb question, but would I have to use two video cards, or does it work like RAM slots, and it just supports up to two video cards. I have also been reading into it and seeing some power issues, the video card comes with a converter (from 2 HDD power dongles to a PCI-e power connector) so I am assuming that all will be stable as long as my PSU is up to par, which is +3.3V@28A; +5V@30A; +12V@34A; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]. Another thing, most of the mother boards on there are using a 24 pin power connector, my PSU has a 20 pin and a 4 pin, again another dumb question... can I plug both of these into the 24 pin connector?
