SLI needed or not?

I'm making my own gaming rig. However, i was wondering on whether or not i should go ahead with SLI configeration. I am planning to buy the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti - 1GB - EVGA Superclocked - Core: 900MHz. The monitor im buying is only going to be 19 inches. To play games like crysis 2, shogun 2, and metro 2033 at the highest settings at around 35 to low 40 range fps would you recommend going SLI?

Have you thought about getting a bigger/better monitor and one single GTX 560 for the time been,Then maybe get another 560 at a later date :)

Dont really see the point in going SLI 560s on a 19" monitor.

Metro 2033 is quite demanding though,Especially if you want everything quite highest settings.

what if it is a 22 inch monitor? is it still overkill? but thanks, im reconsidering whether or not i really do want to invest all that money at the get go.

What motherboard and power supply do you have? Almost all amd boards don't allow sli, unless you buy their flagship crosshair iv extreme. The option to seperately choose whether you want an sli or crossfire setup is generally found on intel motherboards. As far as your power supply goes, you need to know how many watts an sli setup would pull(from the cards you choose) and if your power supply has enough to give. To find out ahead of time, try a psu wattage calculator like this one.

The monitor i chose out is the ASUS VW246H 24 inch widescreen LCD 1080p, 1920x1080, 20000:1 Dynamic, 2ms, 16:9
my computer specs are (keep in my these are still tentative because i still have not bought any of these parts and im buying from Ibuypower.com):
cpu: AMD Phenom™ II X4 970 Black Edition Quad-Core CPU
RAM: 8 GB [2 GB X4] DDR3-1600 Memory Module
Mobo: ASUS M4A87T -- AMD 870 SATA 6 Gb/s RAID
PSU: 800 Watt
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti - 1GB - EVGA Superclocked - Core: 900MHz

to run games such as total war shogun 2, Crysis 2, and Metro 2033 at the higest settings possible at the montior resolution i chose will this require 2 gpus or can i go with 1. and if i do go with 1 do you think i can still get fps that are around the 30 to 35 range?
thanks!
