is sli worth it or is on card good? is the extra really worth it?

SLI is not worth it. adding the same card will not double the performance. it's really for people that want every once of performance, or add an additional card later when they get cheaper instead of buying an expensive single card when it first comes out

That very much depends, both on the drivers and the game. You might notice both of these things are software, and that is primarily the problem with SLI, inconsistent software.

It can range from null or no difference in performance to almost double. If your interested in specifics, check some benchies.

On average its a 20-30% boost from a single card, i personally don't think its worth the money.

You can still get more than 80% is what I'm trying to say. 80% isn't the maximum.

Of course. The scalability should be similar to that of the 8800gt and 9600gt as they're close in performance, and that isn't too bad. So far I haven't seen any negative benchmarks, I.E, really bad gains. They seem as stable as SLI cards can get..

Check out these benchies for the 9600gt-8800gt (couldn't find the GTS). It should be indicative of what you should expect, in terms of percentage increase.
