SLI problems

I just installed my new 8600gt's and enabled sli now when I try toplay any game that came with Vista 64bit it only shows a black screen. I know the games are opening because I hear the cards being dealt. Also when I open media center nothing but a black screen. I have the latest update for my bios and I have the latest drivers from nvidia. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a fix? Thanks

did you try putting the monitor on a other grafic's card connector? I mean, no idea if it works, but when you enable SLI, it shuts off 3 of the 4 available connectors on the cards. you have to connect your monitor to one of the connectors of the top card.
(but then, it would be odd, because you have a screen while in windows, no? )

I have not tried changing connectors, but as you said everything else is working fine . At various times my display will flash and a box will pop up saying that the display driver has quit responding and been recoverd. At that point I usually have to reboot. Thanks for the help.

maybe a stupid question.. but have you installed the x64 driver for the Nvidia cards? and did you try installing a older driver version yet?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I have installed the latest drivers from nvidia and I 'm now running 162.18 the beta driver did not work at all ( 163.67 ) . I did a reinstall of the OS and things so far seem to be ok for the moment. The only issue at this time is with the 4 gigs of memory. It's not wanting to boot up at the moment. It may be a setting on my board. Thanks for the help.
