ok say i wanted to hook up an SLI on my system. If I bought the 6600 gt, from what ive been reading here, since its the same gpu it will work. Ive read about SLI's but havnt actualy hooked it up and if i were to i wouldnt wanna screw it up. So do you have to have the bridge anymore, and if not then how would that work? Any links that could expain would be great too

You need a motherboard with the Nforce4 SLI chipset. No you dont have to use the bridge anymore, but you need hardware to suport it.

you need a SLI motherboar.. and with the motherboar the bridge is included.
so, if you have a bridge, use it, because it makes a significant difference.

Also the 6800 has to be identical to the other, ie you cant use a XFX and a Gigabyte, it would have to be 2x XFX or 2x Gigabyte ect

Well I don't know personally as I've no clue on your mobo and I don't feel like googling :P. You can answer this though a few ways but perhaps the fastest would be to remove the side of your computer case and see if there is room for one more PCI-Express graphics card :).

And if there is room for a PCI-E x16 card, then you can SLI. If theres not then you cant.

I don't think you can. You have a 6600 256mb. And thats not the same model as the 6600gt. I'm not sure it'd work...Also your motherboard needs to SLi of course
