What is SLI going to do for me?

I have SLi ready mobo-Asus P5N-E SLI NVIDIA Socket 775 ATX
graphics- 8800 gts 320 mb and
PSU- Ultra 600 watt

...so what does that do for me?

What other components can be SLI ready?

A 8800gts takes up about 110w of juice. The minimun for a single GTS is a 400w PSU.. If you have a sufficient amount of amperes on the +12v line then your PSU should be able to power two in SLI.

Hmm, BTW what are the Amps on your +12volt? you can find the number on the side of your PSU.

Note: 40 and up would be optimum.

Yeah, that's all true, try finding a PSU that runs true to spec though.

sell the 8800GTS and buy a single 8800GTX, you will get better performance than to 8800GTS 320 in SLI, and it will probably end up costing about the same

Thanks guys, i think i'm just gonna use ONE 8800 GTS...i think it''ll be good enough. What does SLI do for me anyways? I think the one 8800GTS should last right? I'm not a big gamer...

Then get a 640mb 8800GTS. Most games benfit from more Vram than SLI. And 2X 320mb 8800GTS does not = a 640mb 8800GTS.
