SLI two 8800GT's but different manufacturer

I was wondering if I could Sli two 8800GT cards together from two different manufacturers but with the same clock speed? Would I be able to do that as long as the clock speeds and memory capacity are the same? I'm asking because I want to maximise my investment as most 8800GT come with a game, I don't want to be stuck with two copies of the same game.

yes, you can do that, as long as the memory and clocks are all the same

Even If the two cards are not identicall (different clock speeds) they will still work. Just BOTH will run at the slower cards speed.

As long as its the same chipset it works, doesnt matter what the clockspeed is
