Is it possible to SLI with a Crossfire mobo. Also My dad has a dell that has 2 pci-e x16 but it doesnt say sli any where and a sli bridge didnt come with the computer. can he still use sli?

thx for any help.

How are you certain that dell supports SLI or crossfire? on all chipsets except x58, intel chipsets only support xfire and nvidia chipsets only supports SLI

i think voodoo/blackbird has a hacked bios that allows for crossfire on a 680i chipset, so not every chip supports a certain way

All of the x58 boards are sli and crossfire capable. But other than those, Nope.

But to get that you would need to do a complete rebuild of your system, and I doubt that's what you want to do.

not all x58 board can do both, make sure you check before you buy

Not all x58 mobos are SLI and X-Fire capable. Some of them are SLI, some are X-Fire, and some are both.

They have modified chipsets.

I think they just have modified bios'. As far as hardware goes theres nothing stopping a p35 from running 2 280gtxs in sli
