SLI is Scalable Link Interface. It's when you have two graphics cards of now a similar type, and one draws the even lines, the other draws the odd on your screen. This helps boost graphical performance. They are in two PCI-E slots on a compatable mobo with the slots and a compatible chipset, they are then linked via a SLI cable. (Note: Cards have to be SLI/Crossfire ready to link) SLI is nVidia's term, ATI calls it Crossfire.
