Slideshow presentation?

Hello guys, ive been reading this forum for a while and everyone seems friendlly so i thought id register to post one of my own questions.

In september a very good friend of mine is going to get married. I was thinking what i could do for them and i thought of the idea to have a projecter at the wedding and have pictures of then from when they where kids to when they got together and were happy.

Does anyone have any programs to suggest that arent too hard to handle?
I have done some powerpoint presentations for Uni but powerpoint just seems too simple.

Also maybe there is a program that has available wedding themes already?

If you want, you can make a movie. Windows Movie Maker can help here. You have more transitions, but the disadvantage in comparison to powerpoint is that you cannot go back or forward when you want.
Another application is Flash, but it's pretty difficult to work in it, you need to have ActionScript knowledge to be able to make slideshows.

Isn't there some kind of program that i will be able to make with ease a nice slideshow? Like be able to add hearts and stuff without knowing a whole lot about computing.

Ulead dvd pictreshow does nice with all the bells and whistles. i had about 1300 pictures and added a few movies. had about 20 chapters.
