Slight problem

Hey,

Here's the deal. I'm currently building my rig and I think I'm short of a SATA cable. I only have one of these http://www.ebuyer.com/product/151963 but I think I need 2 to connect my Hard Drive & my Optical Drive to my motherboard. Do I need another cable?

I have installed all of my components easily enough but I am really unsure on how to connect the fans and GPU to my power supply. I have also realised that there will be far too many wires coming from the PSU so can I open up the PSU and remove the ones I don't need? Also could anyone help me on my power connecting of components, drives and fans or link me to a very clear guide?

Sorry I'm asking so much. Thanks for the help.

By the way this is my power supply. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141006

If your optical drive is sata then you will need another sata cable as you need one sata cable per device.

As far as hooking up the psu to your graphics card and stuff, it's pretty self explanatory. The case fans usually either connect to the mobo or they have a molex connector that will fit to the psu.

As far as the extra cables, all you do is tuck them away or tie them up so they don't droop all over.

Never open a power supply. Power supplies have capacitors in them that can store an electrical charge even if the power supply has been unplugged for over a year. It is possible to get a lethal shock from touching the parts inside a power supply.

By the way, the Antec EarthWatts Power Supply you chose is a good part.
